HOURS:

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

LOCATIon:

Revelstoke Mountain Resort - meet at the ‘greenhouse’

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Please wear clothing suitable for working with fuel / oil / grease.

  • This course will be held outdoors, please dress for outdoor conditions.

  • Please wear suitable boots / heavy footwear. (Hikers and Gumboots are acceptable).

  • This will be an 8 hour session with ample breaks for coffee and chit chat. Consider bringing some snacks and water.

  • Course manuals will be provided, which you can keep.

  • Consider a Pencil/Pen, Notebook, and any supplies you wish for taking notes

  • Bring a Hardhat, hi viz vest, boots, gloves and ear protection if you have them.

  • Loki Tree will have spare hardhats, vests, and chainsaw chaps, and ear protection for those who do not own them.

  • Loki Tree will have chainsaws and fuel for participants to use. If anyone has their own, they are encouraged to bring them along - they will get some maintenance!

  • Fire Size Up / Resource Requests

  • Hand Tools and Safe Transport

  • Pumps and Water Delivery

  • Radio Communications

  • Strategy and Tactics

  • ICS Awareness

  • Wildland and Urban Interface Safety
